its been a while I know. Bike has been packed away for summer. The final track outing ended with me realising gearing needs changing - the tracks I ride are not long enough for the +300kmh, so will change either front or rear sprocket and bikes suspension set up for too hard for me - so with the aid of a pukka racing engineer here in UAE, we set about some basic checks and indeed its pre-load - ahem, didn't have any! We adjusted both front and rear and then set about rebound and compression; was meant to try it out on last track day of the year, but I had to disappear. So season starts up again next month so will try it out. Am swapping out the rear TTX shock for the pukka race bike version - which will be a huge help with the hydraulic preload. Have also been asked by Gulf Bike Week to show the bike in October - talking to them about the story behind the bike and they seem to want to do something special - so should be good. One last thing - the car under the cover is one of a few Countach built and is being re-built by its owner (not me!!).
Haha very true!! My first trip to Norway was straight after coming out of Commando Training Center. We were staying up in the arctic circle in a camp near Harstad and there was a bar at the entrance to the camp. We walked through the entrance one evening and there were twenty odd Marines hanging naked from the ceiling beams. First one to fall off had to buy the drinks!
First track yesterday since Dec last year. New suspension and settings and blowing off cobwebs. Worked well and my best lap time achieved. Still loads of room for improvement. Next higher gearing and autoblipper. Happy.
