1200 A Bit Of Off-roading...

  1. Thought I'd try out Enduro mode!! Must admit, the trail was far rougher than I'd anticipated, more so than the picture conveys, with big loose rocks and some pretty big lumps and bumps. Bottomed it out a couple of times, but amazingly it always found traction, in spite of a lot of the terrain being really rocky, and some steep inclines. I'll stick to something flatter next time, but it surprised me how capable it was.

  2. The bottom of the pic is obviously cropped to hide the road [emoji6]
I'm not precious about my multi and wouldn't mind an off-road jaunt. There is a river/ford near the house and I'm wondering how high the air intake is on the multi

  3. To be honest, it was far further and tougher than Google Maps satellite view had me think it was! I'd not repeat it in a hurry - we ended up doing a little over two miles, some of which the other half had to get off and walk. Coped amazingly well two-up over some head-sized rocks!

  4. Post up a google maps path then [emoji106]

  5. I'm not entirely convinced of it's legality as a right of way, so I'd best not!

  6. Spoil sport [emoji6]

  7. Should you find yourself in Devon there is a reservoir north of Plymouth and some rough tracks that run between there and a small village with a well known prison. That's all I'll say!

  8. So if they see you riding it they just put out the 'follow diversion' signs straight into the Nick. I keep on at the missus trying to get her to come that way on the bike for a weekend break.

  9. Masses of amazing roads in Devon, it's highly recommended. Quiet too.

  11. Buy a KTM. The MTS is about as capable off road as you are a hinge.
