Setting off from Warsaw heading for Berlin, 22 July: At the Neues Palais, Sans-Soucis, Potsdam on 23 July:
One from West Kirby (three miles from home) and a couple from a trip to Aberdyfi...... nearly ready for the first service.... and the fitting of the Top Box and Panniers.... plus Navihalter bracket for TomTom 400 ordered.... loving it ... does life get any better ????
It finally turned up. After a marathon saga of waiting for parts from Bologna I finally got the Mutley at the end of last week. Great to be back in the saddle after nearly ten years and i'm finding the low down grunt and midrange a positive boon as I try to relearn the old riding mojo. Almost constantly in the wrong gear at the moment but it's starting to come back. Even been wafting the inside leg out into the breeze on a couple of corners...
Not wanting to worry you needlessly, but coming back to bikes after a long spell off is a really dangerous time. Re-learning to control a bike is the easy part - it is re-learning how to anticipate the stupidity of others (and thereby save your skin) which is the difficult bit. Good luck, and focus!
