Only just got my first ducati and it's an 848 evo not that makes any or much difference but it seems lazy when I first fire it up , a slow wirrr then it starts but I'm a bit raised eyebrow on this one thinking it ain't gonna go the next time or is it a they all do that . I suppose I could run it to hysides and they will tell me ( it's knackered) :0)
You could try Glen at Moto V . Opposite Parkinson's old place. What that guy don't know simply ain't worth knowing. I often read on here about people fitting a second earth lead from the starter to the engine which seems to do the trick. Probably the cheapest and easiest thing to start with.
Day to day use mine (848 with old battery) does 3-4 slow chugs then gets going. Straight off trickle charger is faster. New battery followed by cables from ':Wideyed:' soon.......
Oops, my mistake - just done the previous model to yours but your is different - PM me if you can help with the cable lengths and photo's and we'll make one up - you can have the first for your time and trouble
Off for a bimble down to Portsmouth through the South Downs. When my next delivery turns up (I've always something on order for the bike) then I'll get my best measuring stick out [emoji106]
Had one myself. If you're on standard exhaust pipes, a nice set will really make a difference sound wise. I had termis and would pass 102db track days (just, 102 on the nose) with no baffles.
I bought some fat cable and replaced my negative battery cable on my 750 monster and it made it 1000 times better! The original cable was too light and the starter was really sluggish. Home made job, but problem sorted.
