The London version of the 2014 Distinguished etc started and finished from Borough Market, 200 yards from London Bridge station. It tends to be from different points each year though. Anyone have any idea where this year's is running from?
Taken from the website: Start Time & Place 2015-09-27 9am Borough Market - Cathedral St, London SE1 1TL Departure Time 10.30am Finish Location No finish location has been set yet. Regroup Points 1.
I'm doing the Oxford ride and I've taken a bit of stick for deciding to use my 1974 Kawasaki 750H2. It's a classic so I don't see the problem apart from the noise because it's got GP expansion chambers fitted and might put out a bit of blue smoke...
There is now a Liverpool ride, my mate is organising it but we have only 11 riders at as this goes to "print" maybe something to do with the Manchester one being run before.
The more the merrier I'd love to see more runs being organised and maybe one closer to Bedford next year but there's no way I'm organising it.
Next Year AndyB_11? Is the biking year over already in Bedford? And as to feeling rather hesitant to organising you're own ride - I say "go for it!" - give everyone plenty of notice time/date/route/cause (if any), encourage some young /new riders to attend, delegate lead & tail riders who are competent riders and know the route to keep the group together (you may not wish to do either as the organiser you can ask others to do it and enjoy being in the main group) . Job done ride out!
I'm not sure the biking year ever really starts in Bedford and I can't pop out to check because I'm currently drinking my first beer of the day while sitting in the sun watching the Belgian Classic TT at Gedinne. I'm looking forward to the ride around Oxford because it's not somewhere I'd go normally but I need to get the Kawasaki out and put a few miles on it before the actual ride out because it's been neglected for a couple of months.
Come on guys you know you want to help out prostate cancer Sponsor a Rider - The 2015 Distinguished Gentlemans Ride Thanks to those that have already and thanks in advance to those that are going to

Just 3 days to go! So I'm making a final push to raise more money for this very worthy cause. Each year, one in nine men develop prostate cancer, and close to 500,000 men will die from the disease. Remember this goes to find a cure for prostate cancer! Thanks to those that have already given and thanks in advance that those that will be giving. And if you want to sponsor someone else that's fine too. Just do it! Sponsor a Rider - The 2015 Distinguished Gentlemans Ride
