1199 Which Front Paddock Stand

  1. Hello

I'm looking for a good front paddock stand for the 1199.

I normally run Harris but they don't make one.

Can you use an under headstock stand. I have one but can't find a hole under the bike?

I've looked at the DP one but it's steel rather have an ally one.

    Cheers

  2. Have you managed to find a pit bull supplier in the UK? I couldn't find one nor could I find anywhere to machine me a 28mm pin that fits my current headstock stand (which I think will be too high anyway) and so settled for the steel R&G front paddock stand as a quick fix. The adapters fit in the access slots at the bottom of the forks and the hole thing stays rather stable I have to say. Still, I'd rather a headstock stand if I could find one that fits.

  3. Not been looking mate, was just linking you guys to the info ;)

Have just found my old abba stand and using another set of pins got it to fit the panigale

  4. does it fowl the plastic underneath once youve fitted it

  5. Have to remove the lowers due to the fittings/pins hitting the lower panels slightly because the panels obscure/overlap the holes were the fittings have to go.

  6. I suggest Gubellini front stand with delrin plastic front lift.

These stands are solid, if a bit pricey, used as a Ducati Performance item.

    Here's a few pics.

  7. Has anyone managed to find a headstock stand for the Panigale in the UK? I've got a normal front stand but it's a bit of a ball ache when changing the wheel.

  8. Looks good but I'm looking for something for the track Andy1814

  9. What is the pin diameter you would use ? I have the Moto GP headstock stand that has a selection of pins in the kit and does both my 748RS and my girlfriend's NC29. If I could spell, the race teams use Pierre Bonne (?) stuff which is a work of art but mental money. Andy

  10. Yeah I know what you mean, it's portable tho so don't let that put you off. He used his at Mugello last week and always at Cadwell. Think Demon Tweeks do a version too that's a fair bit cheaper :upyeah:
PS Feel like I'm on commission, just really impressed with it. My first purchase when the Panigale arrives.

  11. Pierobon manufacture & sell them for €450 or thereabouts. I have the dimensions for a pin I had made up that fits fine in the KTM headstock stand I used for my RC8. Bit fiddly on clearances to the mudguard etc but it lifts the bike with no issues. I'll look them up if you wish.

  12. Thanks for that. I know my spelling is bad but I didn't realise it was that bad. Andy

  13. The KTM stand sounds interesting, would be cool if you have the details. £450 for the Pierobon stand is silly money, I put that in the same box as all the bling rearsets with no adjustability that cost £800!

  14. Addapt a smaller pin to fit. 28mm is copper pipe dia.
    Solder a sleeve on. Sorted.

  15. Do you mean a pin for the KTM stand?

  16. I'm using a con stands one with a pin for a Diavel. Cost 50 quid from ebay and is absolutly MINT :)

  17. Looks really great but will it go on a panigale without removing the lower fairing? I know that one of the issues with the Abba is that the swingarm holes are partially covered
