  1. Hi all . a big hi from north Wales .I just bought brand new multistrada dvt yesterday from Cardiff .on way back loved it had smile on my face .until 100 miles later engine management light came on so stopped. Turned it off back on again nothing still there .so contacted ducati road assistance they told me to not ride it and wait for aa so I did .8 at night still middle of no where . then noticed the seats are not right at all please see pictures attached .aa guy came to tell me he can't do anything because of pin plug needs an adapter which he doesn't have .even he told me seat doesn't look right . then notcied rear left indicator not working .so waited for recovery til 11.30 at night to he can take me home arrived at 3.30 in the morning .then called aa again to take the bike to woods motorcycle . took it there .guy called andrew or andrian said I bought bike from Cardiff that's where I have to take it as apparently they don't get paid for warranty work .he fixed rear indicator .but he won't book me in for the issue and its only exhaust valve issue as it sounds super rough .searched how to get rid of it acf50 or wd40 does the job tried nothing so far .light still on and sound still there anyone can advice about the seats please as for the exhaust valve I will be calling first thing tomorrow morning . cheers any comment will be appreciated .

  2. Firstly smells of poor pdi. Secondly woods if they are a Ducati dealer are talking bollox!! Warranty is valid anywhere band I suspect they know it's a pdi issue so NOt warranty hence reluctant to take it on

  3. Thanks for the reply mate . I know its bad pdi but I'm calling them tomorrow once they open and I'm not gonna ride it all the way there .he better come and pick it up what do you think about the seat gaps mate ?

  4. As Bradders.
As for your seat, it looks like the slides at the front haven't been properly located in the guides (pages 306 & 307 of manual) - I've fitted mine incorrectly before :(

  5. I will give it a go again tried several times no chance . what happens I slide the front seat all the way in but the back of the seat doesn't go in . I have to push the seat backward still it goes in but still doesn't fit

  6. Surely you shouldn't have an exhaust valve issue yet, they're known to rust and seize on multistradas but also loads of bikes, but that's brand new

  7. Agreed, I have it on mine sporadically after 19.5k miles, wouldn't expect it on a new machine?

  8. Suspect something isnt connected properly, worked out within 100 miles and/or been snagged by the seat

  9. Sorry to hear about the probs and delays getting picked up:(

  10. Woods appear to be a Ducati dealer, so what bradders says is correct.
Why didn't you buy it from them in the first place ?
But having said that, if that's the way they play it perhaps you did the right thing.

  11. Hi there . I tried to buy from them twice .first time I walked there no one gave me time shop was empty but they were all chatting away pretending to be busy .second time was the fact they wanna rip me off for part exchange another word they don't wanna buy BMW of me so I didn't bother .even the AA guy said they have bad reputation .I was thinking about give him the fact he should fix and keep the bike and give me courtesy bike but was worried things might esclate and he could ban me from the shop so I didn't bother .sent an email to the dealer in Cardiff to find a solution as PDI is not on .also noticed beam light is rubbish normal light seems stronger than the beam .seat tried to adjust the pin lock but no success the seat still doesn't look in the right place .love the bike and the way it handles but started to think if I made mistake here .

  12. go to another dealer!

  13. Speedy try another dealer closer to you ?
If you've got a non S DVT, the dip beam is LED but main beam is standard halogen that's why the light seems dimmer I believe.

  14. Thanks mate for the reply .I'm taking the trip to Cardiff again .woods are being a pain they won't see me til my service is due as apparently they are busy hahahha I saw that on Sunday .exhaust might get replaced .seat as well .but noticed the dash vibrate a lot on low revs with throat deep noise coming out anyone got that ? I wish I went for the s model but I like the standard suspension is nice .s modem reminds me of the s1000r I had .anyone got the dashboard vibrating on low revs even in first gear ?

  15. Dash does vibrate at low revs,

  16. I had a mate go to Woods to look at getting a DVT. He walked out to! Service was so bad and their attitude was one of you should be great full we sell Ducati!

  17. Ya mate if you open throttle from 2k to 4k its vibrates alot even in first gear

  18. that place sucks big time bought helmet .back of padding started to crack within two months if that took it there to tell me its not covered by the warranty . then bolts got rusty month after same story .now visor closed and I get dust wind flies everything . they quick to take your money . can't believe it I been there three time to buy a bike every time they pulled fast face like we don't care if you buy or not . you know what I rather travel 210 miles and enjoy the ride and get my stuff sorted with a smile from dealer than guy pretending to be a king

  19. Why hasn't anyone contacted Ducati to tell them about this dealer then ?
Apart from being told porkies about delivery time for a DVT, I can't complain yet about service so far with Riders in Cardiff especially with the service manager Craig, and their sales manager Steve has been really helpful.

  20. Not another poor showing from a Ducati dealer. I think if I ever decided to buy new again it'd be from Nelly at Cornerspeed. Don't even know where he is but a trusted dealership is worth travelling to.
