recall letter anyone?

  1. Cheeky I-tys call me up sounding like Val asking if im happy and all that, not that I care for them mumbling crap english down the handset. I was pleasant and it was painless BUT to then get a letter regarding some little changes like butterfly valves in the cans, screw on the steering dampener and a couple of other silly bits, I havent see the letter in person; it was opened for me but I have seen these on other sights and Ducati have put together an up grade package or something so I suppose it should be simple enough.

Anyone else had this letter or even been and had the work done?

  2. had mine today. at least i can have a week on a multistrada whilst mines being done so not so bad. had an effin puncture 1 mile from home tonight. can fit a 1/2" flat screwdriver in the hole. got bike back home in my van and wheel off in an hour so the only painfull bit was not being able to have a blast with some mates, oh and another £150 lighter

  3. mines in tomorrow, well its been there all week but getting worked on tomorrow so il call and tell them to get the work done, let u know how it goes

  4. Just got the letter and been on with the dealer who hasnt got the upgrade kits yet ?? so have to wait not good

  5. Spoke to my dealer and they have already got the bits in so its all getting done today with the service:smile:

  6. As for the parts that get replaced, there is nothing to worry about. The butterfly valve is just a more heat resistant plastic. apparently if u to run on one cylinder the extra heat could melt it. That tells me that someone has. How would u not know?
The washer on the SD was found to be worn over the nut with heavy use, prob off the track, and what i take from that is that the washer was slightly bigger than was needed, so they put on that fits better. The master cylinder screw was a little too long and pointed. over time there is a worry that it could rub the hose underneath so a shorter on with a convex head is in. all little things and nothing to worry about.

  7. Thanks Goody what about the torque setting on the rear wheel?

  8. Umm I cant remember what he said about it but think it was just an advised check. He also said that had I seen the bike the day before it would of looked like it had been took completely apart, apparently they back it all back and re torque and grease everything that can be on top of all the usual stuff. Pretty sure that was all it was with the rear wheel cos I do recall him say that it was something they would have done anyhow. Seems Ducati are doing `preventative medicine` shall we say
