  1. Does the paint craze and crack on them?

What goes on in terms of the key for getting the seat off.

When you remove the grab rail does the light unit stay in place?

  2. the paint has crazed on mine this year
the cover is held on with 2 screws either side
    seat catch is retained
and appears the grab rail has to be cut off the rear alloy mount for the light
just in the process of returning mine back to standard trim
    as in having a pillion

  3. What make is your unit? How long has it been on?

  4. the rear unit was on the bike when I got just over 3 years ago
there was a receipt in the paperwork for one from ducati
so make well your guess is as good as mine might not be the same one
ricambi Weiss do one their stuff is not bad

  5. So it might have been painted a few years and then after three years of owning it it started crazing?

  6. yep basically

  7. I've had mine on about 8 years and no cracking at all. I bought mine from Ducati. Was hellish expensive but came with a replacement metal casting that replaces the part with the grab handle. Probably why it was so expensive. I think I paid over £400 from Snells (about 2007)

  8. Ah that explains how the Ducati part works then. Best one seems to be the diopa one. The ricambi one had no bits and the Australian one has a really thin seat pad.
