Hi Just found this forum and thought I'd join. Was previously on ducatisti.co.uk, but that seems to be permanently dead now. I didn't realise there was another busy forum. Probably should have looked a long time ago! I ride a 996SPS (when the sun shines). And a Yamaha FZ1N when it looks like it might not. Bike history (this will give away my age!)...DT50, DT125, TZR250, RGV250, R6, MV Agusta F4S 750, then a few years of skydiving and paragliding, then realised I couldn't actually live without a bike afterall...Ducati 900SS, Ducati 996SPS and now also the FZ1N. Living in Cambs, if anyone wants to go for rideout anytime, I'm up for it. Cheers Rich
Ely, so I'm only a few mins from Suffolk (eg Newmarket). I don't want to sound completely gay, but riding's always more fun with others to do it with. And the guys I rode with a few years ago have all long since given up. Give me a shout if you want to head out for a ride sometime. I'm guessing this forum has a pvt msg or email option. Get in touch there if you want to swap numbers. Now that does sound gay!! Of course, no offence to anyone reading this. Just realised how it might sound...
Evening and Welcome along, I am just south of you in wonderful Cambourne, i managed to go out for a quick ride tonight before the rain set in again. Which looks to be the way the year will be going. Same goes here as well if anyone in the Camb's area fancies a Sunday morning potter sometime when it stops raining !
Hi Rich! Welcome to the forum from another 996 SPS guy, I´m also in the 40´ish and I refuse to ever grow up:wink: Cheers// Patrik
Hi Rich and welcome. Don`t worry about being forty and wondering when you might grow up. I`m 28 years older than you and i`m still wondering!!! I`ve got a 996 for the roads and a 998 track bike. I don`t live in your area but I am going to do a trackday at Snetterton soon. Lets hope you look after the weather up there for a few more weeks. Enjoy being forty and don`t give up on sports bikes.......in the words of a Tom Petty song....." if you never slow down, you never grow old"...
