My name is matt im 26 from ireland and currently ride triumph street triple r.. Thats is sold and beimg collected next week...
848 is a great bike and i am sure folk who have one will fill you in with more detail than that Anyway welcome along.
Hi Matt and welcome...... There's not too much to worry about with the 848....the 1098 ironed most of the issues out before the 848. The leaky rad should have been changed before the 09 model, but just check for water marks from the top left hand side. Other than that just go get it and enjoy it!
Thanks for the replys people! But what they like to ride? Good long spin up mountain roads 100 klms spins?? Reliability ect???
Hi Matt, welcome. They are a great real world road sportsbike. Reliability is good and comfort like any thoroughbread is compromised, again like all Ducati sportsbikes they feel best on a decent surface. Needless to say it depends on your age, flexibility and fitness as to how far you can ride in comfort ,I am no spring chicken and have done 360 kilometre spins without a problem here in Ireland where road surfaces can be a bit "challenging"
Hi Matt and welcome. I've had an 848 for a few months now and they're great. I had a 748 before which is where I got hooked. The 848 is just such an involving, addictive bike to ride. The way it sounds, feels, pulls, handles, it's lovely. I'm pretty keen on mine!!
