hi Everyone, does anyone know the RAL colour so I can get my rocker covers powder coated? I've taken some to local powder coaters to see what they can do but I cant seem to get a match. Just wondering if anyone has had some done over the years that is a close colour match that they may be able to give me the code to. Cheers
Have you checked the RAL colour chart for a rough idea. Although they only seem to list one Gold colour, Pearl Gold. I know someone who had some engine cases powdercoated gold but they were more shiny than matt and they were very Gold looking in appearance, certainly did not look anything like Magnesium. yea I've looked at the chart but unless companies have the colour in stock, it costs a fair bit to buy in a big box of the colour I want just for 2 covers. Didn't know if anyone knew of a company who has done some before to look at the colour outcome and I'd they already have stick of choir

I actually emailed him last night as he is only down the road from me. Just waiting on a reply from him as we speak. I've seen a couple of pics of work he had done on his website but not too sure if its too gold or not. Will see what he comes back with. Doing research and he has raving reviews at least
Steve tends to start with the sunrise and finish lunchtime but catches up with paperwork at the end of the day. Always had a response within a couple of days unless he is off on holiday. Andy
I use these people and travel there regularly for work to be done. They currently are undertaking all the work for a Yamaha RD250 LC ground up restoration that I am working on. They do stock the full range of RAL colours and also will have custom colours made although that is very expensive. They also do wet spraying if you have a colour that you can match and then you can either provide the paint or they will do it for you. Maldon Shotblasting and Powder Coating
BASF trade under the name of Glasurit in the UK, so you should at least be able to get paint of the right colour from a Motor factor that sells that make.
Contact Atom Bomb Customs/Coatings. They have a custom magnesium color that is spot on. You can google them or Facebook them.
Mods please fix that friggin tag so he notices - can't get why it doesn't seem to be working. Thanks eh
tusks for the input guys.... Don't really want to get the covers sprayed so I'm still looking at powder coating. Went to a local company the other day who said that they do a colour that is very close to what I'm after. They are making a sample up for me to look at on Monday so I shall see what its like tomorrow.
