You are mate, you just pretend not to be! (It's actually my own fault as I'd already said yes to something else that day before this opportunity came up, and I'd forgotten about it of course - but that's why you have a wife to remind you of these things, isn't it?)
Put me down a maybe. I will try and be their for the chat and breakfast. Not sure about the ride out as it is my other half's Birthday weekend. We shall see. Maybe I can convince her that a nice gift is the breakfast and then a ride out on the back. I can tell her that it won't be as far as the last one, Dolomites to Stuttgart.
The tide is still against me...apparently anniversary (even tho it happens every year) is more important...in true British spirit NEVER GIVE UP Until the missus tells you to
Yep I'm in Anyone coming over from Glos way? Will be heading a40 then down towards Wantage and Abingdon
I am hoping to make it, but won't be able to confirm till the end of the week. If I do make it, I will be coming down the M5, turnjng off at Gloucester or Cheltenham, taking the A40.
As you take the A40 from Cheltenham to Oxford in the morning, you'll have the sun in your eyes. And when you take it back home in the afternoon, the sun will be in your eyes again. Pity about that!
And as we are moving west to east then east to west, what do you suggest Pete? Cross the atlantic and approach from Japan?
Chum of mine with a Guzzi might come along as well if that's OK (he's looking for good routes to ride in the area)
