As title suggest I am looking for all parts from a 1299 seat and subframe assembly. I have a 899 and I would like to convert to 1299 rear end. Maybe someone is going to make a 1299 race bike and doesn't need these parts. Feel free to pm if you have or know of anyone with these parts for sale. Thanks in advance
I've studied them side by side very closely and it looks like only need the seat and subframe assembly but until I try and fit I don't know for certain.
I have changed the steel scaffold subframe on my 899 to a ali 1199 subframe(i have a feeling the 1299 subframe is the same as a 1199),to do the job correctly you will need the ail tank off the 11/1299 and the mounting brackets,but you can use the 899 tank with a home made bracket and earthing clamp,its not major surgery just a simple bracket.
I dont suppose you'd have some pictures of that so I guage what I need to do, also did you use the 899 seat still?
The seats are the same,the top 2 pictures are the mounting brackets for the 1199 tank,you can see the earthing points on pic 2 and see it attached to back of the 1199 tank in pic 3,this makes bolting the tank onto the 1199 rear subframe a straight swap,pic 4 is a 899 tank,as you can see mounting is totally different,i have seen a 1199 tank fitted to a 899 subframe but have never seen a 899 tank fitted to a 1199 subframe.I would look up part numbers for the 11/1299 subframes and make sure they are the same as the 1199 subframes always come up for sale at reasonable prices.May be Ducati will release this for the 1299 Racing tail guard kit - Ducati Superbike Accessories
