I raced a 1199S last year in the Nordic Battle of the twins. There are quite a few 1199 in the series. Among some of the issues that have come up are the bolts for the frame engine mount. They have a tendency to come undone if they are not checked once in a while.. If this happens - not good... There have been cases where riders have had to replace the frame due to the mounting holes being destroyed. Cooling has also been an issue during the summer months. Race radiator and full Zard system seems to be the answer.
In the manual there is a list of about 17 reasons why the "ENGINE" light will come on. What have you disconnected? Try reconnect everything and then disconnect as you go until ya get the engine warning again Switching bike off and on as you disconnect parts again so ecu can reset, which by the way takes about 60-70 seconds after you switch ignition off, from what I remember reading one long night stretch on the ol' interwed(lol) Also, Hows your battery for volts/amps. Only ask because for days I had same fault plus others flashing on dash they only went away after few days of leaving battery on charge.
Did you fit the air sensor into the fake front light. You will get an engine error light if you didn't.
Question to all you track day lads. Do you spend most of your biking time on track or on the road? Or is it an even split between both?
Tried swoping things back still the same may have to put it on the computer down Ducati to see what's wrong
