Hello, anybody can advise or know for sale mufflers for 1198 ecxept termignoni becasue these are blody expensive Any experiences with smaller manufacturers like Ixil,Mivv,Spark???
Are we talking end cans here? I've Quat Ds on the 1098 must be available for 1198 as well. I like them but they don't sound as good as Termis, what with that low Termi rumble, BUT miles better made. I always though there were many many manufacturers out there. I like the Sparks very much too.
I got carbon akrapovics on mine ... luckily they came with the bike as even they are £1000 just for the end cans :O
Akra sounds perfect but as mentioned they are very expensive. my friend of mine bought on his 1098 twobrothers from ebay looks good but not sound s like akra or termignoni. I thinking on Leo Vince from Yamaha R1/2006/ i can get it for 200eur. I will try to mount on mine and we will see.
How about coring the standard ... must be a how to somewhere, loads of guys use to do that for the aprilia rsv
Have a look at SC Project, I have their pipes on 2 of my bikes. Very well made, competitively priced as well. Would have gone this route if bike didn't have Termis on it already
Two words 'Zard Penta' Made in Italy, much better quality than termis and sound nice sans baffles without being anti-social........can also be had for reasonable money if you shop around. Give Ian a call at Speedycom.
I have the Zards on my 1098. Good quality and sound well too. I think they are around the £900 mark new though.
