Def not taking the piss , have you rode the 1199 back to back or s1000rr , pani look best bike by far but that's it for me felt unstable unblinded unrideable under 80mph snatchy throttle some may say that's character I say bad bike .
Fair enough. Personally I love it, I've had lots of bikes over 17 years riding and this is hands down my favourite. Power everywhere, and is nicely refined for a big V twin.
My 107 mile ride home was at 75-80 and it rides perfectly at that speed for me. Under 50 mph in 6th gear becomes snatchy but that's normal for a big twin.
I I'm very jealous because wish I had bonded with one as I so wanted a 12 and had my heart set in it . Enjoy it and appoligies if offended in any way .
Not really mate. Everyone has their own opinion. I found the S1000RR boring. Reminded me of my old K6 gsxr1000, perfect in every way but forgettable in terms of noise and styling. I preferred the 1299 overall.
my 1299 demo had the seat retaining screw missing, the dealer exclaimed ' I bet someone has nicked it ' yeah, im sure they did. I mean I would take the screw and not the seat as well. :Wtf:
