Motorbike health insurance.

  1. I`m off touring in Germany next year, eight days in total.
The health insurance company I used when I went to France now only cover you on a bike upto 350cc.

    Any suggestions?
    Who do you use?
    Do you bother with it?

    Cheers.

  2. Make sure you have a European Health Insurance Card. The good old EHIC is not health insurance, but it's a lot better than nothing - and its free. Do you normally have health insurance when you ride in the UK, apart from the NHS? If not, why would you have it in Germany?

  3. I have done the homework on this and found the AA best for cover. Just make sure you specify motorcycling when you arrange it and there doesn't appear to be any problem. I get NCD each year too.

  4. try one stop travel they covered me n missus when we went italy this year dead reasonable aswell covered us & bike about £50 all in

  5. Thanks guys.

I do have an EHIC. I got health insurance when I went to France because my mates got it, herd mentality I suppose.

I emailed the AA and One Stop Travel, not heard from AA yet but One Stop quoted me £12.35 for a single trip, about what I paid last year.
