1200 Levers

  1. Anyone able to help?
got some aftermarket levers but they don't have the brass cylinder and pin that presses on the plunger
When I have looked at the oem levers it doesn't seem possible to release the original brass cylinder as it is fouled by the lever housing
Is there a trick to releasing them or alternatively can you buy them anywhere?
Last option anybody have a pair of old knackered levers I can disassemble?
    Thanks

  2. I swapped them over on mine. Once the OEM levers were off I can't remember having any particular difficulty in removing the cylinder and pin.

  3. The metal collar that goes through the pivot hole comes out.
You can then disassemble the lever and re-use the actuator pin.
When I have fitted Pazzo's in the past they come with a metal pin to drive out the collar.
You will need a small piece of round bar of suitable diameter to drive it out.
Another hint...when re-fitting you can fit the actuator pin into the rubber shroud on its own first then slot into the lever.
This makes it a lot easier...also found some circlip pliers and a drop of washing up liquid helps.

  4. Even if they are not Pazzo levers, it's probably worth looking up the Pazzo website for instructions.
Plus one on fitting into the rubber shrouds first. I tore one of mine not doing this. I used grease, I'm sure washing up liquid is less messy

  5. I will have another look-see tonight

    Thanks

  6. Yep that worked thanks
I have managed to knock out the bushes using a drift and then could get out the part needed
    Thanks v much

  7. Hi
Levers installed but now got. Weird problem that seems to be connected to the clutch lever micro switch
When I set off its literally killing the revs totally so it almost stalls
The switch is being activated almost as soon as I start to pull the lever and before the clutch is disengaged - how should I adjust the lever and how ?
    Thanks

  8. Hi
I think you should bend the switch instead,it is probably bent out of shape.
(with switch i mean the little metal piece)
    Good luck

  9. Yep spot on
For anyones future ref the little metal contact is meant to operate only at the first slight release of the clutch ie nowhere near bite point
Bent it so that it immediately unswitches and hey presto sorted
    Thanks 999
