  1. sounds good, let me know how it stands. Coincidentally i have a half case of the same but '96, stached in a spare bedroom at my mothers( along a half case of '96 Leoville Barton{bought in 1999}, a fair few Beychevelle and numerous some other gems - of varying types/ages back to some/several 77 Warre/croft/dow, plus rare malts). One day soon i can have the most momentous of tastings!

  5. Walked the dog first thing in Torrential rain, after a late breakfast it cleared up so hopped on the push bike for a quick ride. Then over to Cribbs causeway . Not that busy! Was actually looking for an ironing board!! Exciting times. No joy. Now home, all presents wrapped, just enjoyed a lovely steak, watching the making of the hobbit. Merry Christmas all.

  9. Woke up at 4.30am this morning as my tooth was killing me. Then went to the office this morning as we had a client visiting to check the stock we are holding for him. Left around 11am and had some lunch and had 40 winks on the sofa whilst SWMBO went next door with egg nog.

Since then I've been watching much shit TV and played my ukulele.

Off work now till Monday 4th Jan, though I will do bits and catch up with emails no doubt.

  10. Cor memories! I grew up on light n bitter and light and keg! In those days we all drank that as they put the keg/bitter in first and in most pubs you ended up with well over a pint? They do it other way now so that the Neds don't get a chance to put the bottle round some poor sods canister!

  11. Did you get the bike???

  12. Today? Sold my Ducati 749,packed for road trip, dropped cat round girlfriends, just done oil, water, tyre and lights check on my faithfull old Merc Sprinter and off to Holland to collect my Vincent!Im like a 5 yr old kid Christmas Eve - so excited!!! Old fella I am buying my lifelong dream Vincent from e mailed me today to say he has given it full service, spent a day cleaning her and best of all has found the original Dealer pack and the original UK number plates it was supplied on new! I think with a bit of grovelling and politeness I've got a chance of the DVLA reassigning the original number??? Fingers crossed

  17. Stuffed again ! Up early tomorrow so early night, I wonder if there is any more unwrapping tonight ? :yum:

  18. Seems to have leaked oil on the carpet and down the wall. You were lucky to get the Christmas fairy to take it off your hands. Narrow escape there. :Bucktooth:

  19. Just finished a mug of hot milk yum yum and now watching a recording of terry pratchetts hogfather.
I think I might start reading his books next year.

  20. Collecting it in morning about 10.00am so won't sleep tonight? Had a bit of drama with my old sprinter on drive over!Although it's a tired old girl for some reason it's got blingy alloys and I checked the steel spare,Jack etc before I left.First blowout I've had in years and I was doing 65/70mph but pulled up pretty quickly but tyre was shredded to bits - I had just about finished putting spare on and was lowering Jack when unfriendly Feds pulled up and searched van ( empty van!) then got on radio for something I couldn't understand? After an hour another plod turns up in van with a spaniel dog (suddenly it all ckicked into place!).Fortunately the dog cop spoke English and explained that English registered van in Holland often means weed smuggling.I said I fully understand that but I'm going the wrong way! Who smuggled weed into Holland!!! Total morons
