Finally getting my 2V project back under way and looking for a linear rate shock link so i can avoid chopping up the rear frame for a crazy mono shock idea..... so please help before angle grinder meets metal Anything from known brand would be awesome, such as Kyle or Forsaken Motorsports, etc.
Yes I'd seen the RS rocker, but can't work out what rate it is.... Are they all flat rate? I asked the seller a question on the rate a few days ago but not heard back...... And Kyle looks a good option, though Forsaken Motorsports also do one that only needs a shorter ride height adjuster and stronger spring, not a shorter shock or revalve :-/ Interestingly I was talking to MCT yesterday and they said "dont get the link, just get your OEM Ohlins revalved as that will give biggest improvement and only for £200". Also, he said they don't have the shock spec for a flat rate link as it is more of a US modification! So what do people think here, is a flat rate Iink an improvement? I had assumed, possibly incorrectly, that it was a no brainer, especially with linear fork springs up front. Hell, even the Panigale has the option of flat rate! Thoughts?
Here is an example of a slandered link and our linear link in light grey and in red. (testing different options ) For the 848/1098/1198 Not sure why they told you to just revaled because the OEM link is horrible. worst we have seen yet at over 25% increase. Our testing showed many improvements over stock. A linear link will give you better feel, better drive, better edge gripe, faster lap times of course and we saw a 50% drop in tire wear.........
