Pick mine up tomorrow, looking forward to getting the bike, not looking forward to an 80mile ride in the pouring rain!!!
congrats. Have you found the screws on the black plastic behind the front wheel? The left fairing slides off to the left, there are hooks where your knees touch the fairing.
Found two black plastic screws behind the wheel yes. Don't want to brake anything on my first day as owner....
heres the right side, left is the same. Look out for the plastic rivet on the black plastic behind the front wheel.
You don't need to remove the fairing to get at the battery. Look down the left hand inside of it, and pull up the black panel marked 'fuse' I wired my optimate onto the battery in 15mins without removing fairing
Thank you guys. Did manage to get at the battery even though I were unable to remove the fairing. So much to learn
There's one behind it if you look from the back to the front of the bike, a plastic clip under the nose and another screw a little further down from there facing out from the radiator cowl bit. [emoji4] You also have to remove the black plastic part on top to be able to continue. After that it slides to the front of the bike if I remember rightly.
Sorry to hijack the post again, but how the blimmin heck and I supposed to fit this lower radiator guard when the lip on the lower part of the guard won't go past the lower radiator fixing point I've tried a small amount of force, but doesn't want to go in !
I have the upper too, but having just removed all the skin from my knuckles after using reverse brute force to remove it and dragging my hand up the upper radiator, i'm going to need to clean the blood up before fitting that one At least my blood matches the colour of my bike Lower's now fitted though
And it's flipping freezing in my garage and my nine year old's gone on strike for making me cups of tea !
upper now fitted It was actually easier than the lower once I'd read the instructions properly and found out you had to slide it in from the right of the bike, rather than struggling from the left, as I had for 10 minutes before hand Instructions are for girls, right
