  1. Hi friends
My ducati 996 have a problem today. I cant sleep!!!!
The motor start perfect, but around 6000 rpm, cut off... And start again. If the motor is running at 4/5000 rpm, there are not problems.
I think in fuel problems, pump.... Filter.... I need your opinion And help!!!!!!!

  2. Does everything shut down or do you just loss power ? Explain exactly what happens

  3. As usual, could be so many things. A severely neglected fuel filter comes to mind but even moreso - could be a fractured hose within the fuel tank as this is a common problem.

  4. Shagged TPS

Sometimes loss power, And some times the motor stop, later i push start, And run ok. Thanksss for your help

  7. Fuel tank breather blocked or restricted?

  8. When was it last serviced? And did they tighten the crank/flywheel nut? Known issue on the 996 lump and could be expensive if it is that...

  9. I'm afraid there are just so many possibilities, the above posts are a good place to start. Could also be a poor connection on the loom or ecu . If you are mechanically minded then it's worth thaving the fairings off and see if it is anything obvious but if not find yourself a good experienced Ducati mechanic to have a look.

  10. Thread moved :)

  11. Is posting a video clip any good guys

  12. looking and listening with the fuel tank open while revving the engine easily rules out the fractured fuel hose particularly if the tank is nearly empty, if you know what you're listening/looking for.
