Codes By Flashing The Led

  1. I have an '06 (05) 620 Multistrada . I have ordered the factory manual, lucky e-bay find.I have the red key. What I have is a error code via the yellow LED on the tach. I see a wrench icon on the LCD, service soon?I have googled OBD codes but every thing I have found is about actual codes ported to the LCD. I get a long followed by 3 short. Hope to clear the code as it may be simple like change the oil. I won't go into the valve adjustments here. There are plenty of vids and how to on U tube. CAcycleworks comes to mind.
Whats the procedure for clearing codes?

  2. The wrench is an indication that service is due. It can only be cleared with software. The three flashes on the led are just an indicator of how many keys are programmed. You have three.... The red master and two black keys.

  3. Can only be cleared with software. Hmmm sounds like a $125 visit. I take it that this software is only found at a dealer.
That key thing, you got to ask, why? (rhetorical, gentlemen, but if you have a slightly humorous reply I would be willing to read it!)
    Sure appreciate the help.

  4. There's some free software about and along with a lead off eBay, you can do it yourself. Have a search around the forum for the details.

  5. Found it on E-bay from italy, $72 to the door. This includes the software. Thanks.
Maybe I should get an image for my avatar?

  6. Don't buy the ebay kit. You will be ripped off. Search 'free diagnostic' on the forum.
