This is true...but when i see this clip i want one...! The appealing thing about the s1000r is its small and low...
They are lovely too small for me though I've had to raise up my 796 quite a bit :-o I am going to be trying the s1000xr when it's available (i know it's totally different)
Im not a small/short person myself (5'9") 14 stone but prefer smaller bikes.....i guess thats why ive still got the Rsv4 3 years later....if i went for the bm i hope im still welcome!
I didn't say you're not welcome, I stopped short of that. You must have the most posts on the Hyper section so it will go a lot quieter with you frequenting the sf section or a BMW Forum. I look forward to hearing about the modifications to your third Hyper in a few years time!
Yeah - I did think I was keeping the hyper area going for a while....ironically I was standing in the garage this morning (space where the hyper was) thinking...."I could swap the ktm out in a couple of years, get myself an old 1100s in a pretty sorry state, and then do a ground up rebuild...." - seriously - one of the thing that I would definitely have done to mine (had I have kept it) would have been the xylan coating on the crankcases...
So it's gone!? If so that's sad but don't think you are escaping as your knowledge is far too valuable!
Yep! its gone....but that's (this forum) is one of the compelling reasons for me wanting another Ducati, I don't think ive come across a forum that's as good....im on a few forums (as ive got the KTM and the RSV4) but neither of them are as lively as this one, obviously ive tried to put as much in the hyper area as I can...!
Agree it is a great forum and you should be proud of your contributions- let's hope you're as proud sat on a German bike!
Just pick up a cheap 748: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...43rn/radius/1501/make/DUCATI/page/1/usedbikes
Itd have to be another hyper but a basket case, one that the engine would have to come out so i could get some engine work done as well....
From what I remember.... 1. Custom fuel mapping 2.delete o2 sensor 3. Reduce engine brasking 4. Remove flapper valve motor 5. Increase redline. Currently enjoying my just finished ktm supermoto build but pining for another hyper.! ☺
