Ducati 999 after market mirrors?

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Peo!!, Oct 9, 2012.

  1. Has anyone fitted any? I have been looking at Cyccon mirrors that seem pretty good quality...

  2. no no no, u don't put aftermarket mirrors on the 999. learn to ride without using the mirrors. MOtogp don't use mirrors:)

  3. I suppose you're after a better view. I fitted a small dia convex mirror on the end of the right hand bar (not one of those big ones you see on classic bikes!). It doesn't upset the look of the bike and it solves the problem of checking behind before you whizz out into the overtaking lane.

  4. Mine are both broken and there isn't any originals available that I can find.... I don't have a problem with the originals other than that.

  5. I've got a pair of the cyccon mirrors on my 999. Good quality and much better view than standard mirrors, still need to move yer head and arms a bit though. 2012-06-12-18.29.57.jpg

  6. Yeah I quite like the look of them mate.

  7. The mirrors on Ducati sportsbikes are only there so you can admire yourself as you ride along, when there are no shop windows to see your reflection in. everyone knows that, don't they?

  10. It makes me really nervous not knowing if the rozzers are behind.
Also when joining a motorway or fast dual carriageway, so I've fitted an Oberon Streetfighter mirror which replaces my offside bar end.
It's very discreet, only adds a centimetre or so width, so problem solved.
