I have just tried out the 2016 Multistrada S for size and found it to be a better fit than my Hypermotard 2015 seat height wise so think i will be buying one this year but i have a few questions about it first. Is the De Cat pipe off the 2014 model the same?? If not does anyone know where i can get a 2016 De Cat pipe from? Whats the best end can to fit the Multi? Regards Steve
Hi Steve. Pretty sure they are different De Cats (sure someone will confirm). Best is difficult to answer particularly as with a de cat there is pretty much no baffling so choice will depend on how loud you can put up with - some say the OEM termi stubby with de cat is too loud but in my opinion it looks the best....
Not sure myself if I'm going to change the end can as sound is just fine. Shame some one doesn't make a similar set up end can just better looking.
BrassFlute That's the set up my mates got on his 2014 Pikes Peak and it's got the perfect sound so was thinking of a carbon Termi stubby + Decat on a 2016 model... TheDogs I will look into the Akro can over the next few weeks and see what sort of prices i come up with. TanCakar the Termi full system is just to much $$$$$ for what you get... Steve
Apparanty the decat pipe linked to a stubby Termi is just too loud, that's why the can in the full Termi system is the length it is, enabling it to baffle the noise.
Steve m That's the set up my mate has on his 2014 and it is an awesome sound. About the same as my SC Projects can with the DB Killer removed... Mind you it is in Thailand and we don't get much serious problems from the police. The Termi full system is just way over priced in my opinion...
I've got a full termi awaiting to fit (still boxed) but after seeing the full titanium akra I'm now wanting that instead, so will most probably sell my brand new boxed termi system [emoji57] ive called the importers for akra yesterday and they told me there system is still in final R&D and will out very soon (no dates could be given tho) .
I'll be doing the rexxer map, once the bike is finished I'll be paying Nelly a visit whom hopefully will be able to sort it. There's nowt wrong with the termi system tho, I had a full system on my other DVT and its made it feel more urgent and sounds [emoji108]but I'm a whore for a bit of titanium .
