1200 DVT How Heavy Do You Think The Cat Is !

  1. Whilst I embark on a little project [emoji16]I noticed pushing the bike around how heavy it felt, once I removed the cat and fixed pipes the difference could be felt in just pushing it around again .

It's a doddle to remove, the majority of time taken was removing the bolts out the belly pan [emoji53]

  2. I thought that was a funny question coming from a bulldog.

  3. That's weighty! Curios as to why you have whipped the fairing off - not for the exhaust I'm guessing?

  4. He's gone all mad-max retro on us!!!!!1

  5. What are you replacing it with Dave?

  6. More important question, how heavier it is than the full termi exhaust? Makes me think that finally the whole advantage gained from the full termi is just because it's lighter than the original.

I'll also weigh it when I build the system up.

So, how much does the cat weigh? In the picture with the weighing scales, it looks like you've weighed the Cat+Endpipe?
    I'm interested in a de-cat.

  9. I weighed mine when I took it off. As I remember the cat was around 10kgs. The end pipe was only another 2 or 3kg. Changing to the full Termi saved about 8-9kg. I can't remember exactly.

  10. I weighed my Standard system (2013 S) on warehouse scales and it weighed 6kgs, the Full Termi system Weighed 0.2kg
Maybe cats are different between years or your not as heavy as you think you are :)

  11. 200g for the full system - are you sure?

  12. image.jpeg How heavy is this cat?
