I want to say "hello" from Austria! I found this very cool forum for this traditional and emotional brand on Youtube, by a clip about the Multistrada, well done. Riding Ducati since 1993, it is a pleasure for me to discuse and give answers about the greate bikes they built in Bologna. I hope you excuse my bad english. Greetings, Christian
Servus Christian, Been to Austria quite a few times (Tirol mainly) - but mainly see BMW GS bikes! Cheers, DD.

!!!!! for a minute there i thought you said from australia!!!!! sorry.. hello and welcome aboard mate!!!!
Welcome Christian. My mother was born in Vienna and her side of the family are Austrian. My great grandfather played in the Vienna Philharmonic. You can read about him here http://wphdata.blob.core.windows.net/documents/Documents/pdf/NS/ns_mayr_ermord_tyroler_de_v03.pdf I have been to Austria four times (only once on my bike) and have had the pleasure of meeting and talking to your president Heinz Fischer and attending two concerts by the Vienna Philharmonic in the Musikverein. I grew up eating Wiener Schnitzel, Gerfulta Paprika, Paprikahendl, Goulasch and Vanillekipferl, so I do feel very slightly Austrian, although I don't speak the language.
Thank you all for the warm welcome! I life in the center of austria, 1 hour to the Red Bull Ring (old name called Österreichring or A1 Ring - F1, MotoGP is comming up this year again, SBK was in the past), 120 km away from Linz, 150 km to Graz, 200 km to Vienna, 200 km to Salzburg and Salzburg Ring (older mates know this about the World Championship and the SBK in the past, also a very fast track). In the 90th i was riding SSP 600cc in the Austian and the European Championship on Honda and 1 year on Kawasaki for dealers, but only Ducatis for privat use. 900ss, 851 SP2, 851 SP3, 888 and 916 SP3, Monster .....
