  1. Hi been doing my homework on the 899 and now is the time to buy one, other than here, ebay and autotrader where is a good place to look? Also how much should i be paying would prefer a 2015 low mileage with termignoni exhaust a must thanks in advance.

  2. With it being such a new bike. I would have thought the majority for sale are going to be in franchised dealers.

  3. Thanks for the reply but the 899 is a few years old now.

  5. Don't get to hung up on the Termi's. Until buying my 899 new, I have always had aftermarket complete systems on my bikes, Akrapovic, Arrow, Yoshimura, etc and thought I would have to have Termi's or Akra's on the 899, however
the standard cans sound and look fantastic, so if you find the right bike without the Termi's, buy it.

  8. +1 for not getting hung up on Termi's
I too only wanted a bike with Termi's, but having ridden one with and one without, I wasn't fussed on the difference at all and got one without, which gave me way more options
It'd be nice to have them for the coolness factor, but that's about it

  11. I think the answer to your original question is that you're already looking in the right places, although i'd still try dealers as per Robarano's suggestion.

Realistically if its not on the following sites then its not available, or at the very least its not widely available as such its a needle in a haystack

    Auto trader
    MCN classifieds
    Ducati forum
    Ebay
    Ducati dealer network (all)
    Other motorbike dealers (some)

You could be proactive in your search and call dealers to ask them to look out for one.

Ultimately if they already know you're waiting for a specific bike they're likely to do a deal with the next trade in that suits as its an easy 'in / out' job for them.

They won't want to hang on to a trade in bike any longer than necessary so its better to register interest

  13. Good luck Ste. You wont be disappointed. Been biking for 33 years and its the best bike I've owned without question. Awesome. Ridden it to work this morning and I'm still grinning, whooping and high fiving round the office and I'm usually a miserable bastard. :D

  14. I'd buy on condition rather than mileage. It's nice to see that the 899's are actually being used!!

I didn't bother with the termi's either. Standard sound and look great.

    Great bikes you'll love it

  16. I agree with you price wise. I think they're both too expensive

  17. There's a red one just popped up on eBay. £9950 with Termis.

  18. Do not agree - be aware that the major service is very expensive so allow for that in the price if the miles are high.
