So what have you done today..?

  1. They are. I think they are built to withstand "March winds" and also "April showers".

  2. April Showers??? I remember having a VHS Adult Film that featured an actress going by that name? - and a very naughty girl she was too!

  3. Fingers crossed indeed.

  4. £50k?

  5. Yeah! Fortunately the grooms parents are proper wedged up! My mum (her grandma) died in January and left her a good lump so it ain't been too crippling so far!

  6. Should have seen my daughters intended's face when I told him if it all goes Pete Tong and they split up he will be going in the boot of my car until his mum n dad pay me back? He didn't know if I was joking or not

  7. Set a pair of 2 ft chimney pots on a stack I've just rebuilt. Hate attempting that job when the weather's doubtful. You can't easily cover them until they've had a few hours to firm up. Lovely day today though. All done, flaunching rubbed up, brushed and finished. Unwrap it and tidy up tomorrow. And if the weather still holds sneak off early and get out on the bike. :)

  8. Eek!

  9. Hope all is well Jen. I agree, the MRI's are spectacularly claustrophobic. I nearly flipped once, they hadn't given me any kind of panic button either. Not a good place to be. Fingers crossed for you too.

  10. On the way back from my brothers place which east of Malaga. About 200 miles north of that now in Villharta.

I can tell you it's bloody cold here.
Michelins 3s terrible. Ok on fast sweepers but skitty on 30-40mph bends. It's either Conti's or M7rr's next.
    Grip puppies great.
I can't get the emotion symbols to work from an iPhone.
Big day today, looks like the Gourmet Moto burger bar in Segovia is out though as its been snowing up there.
Maybe a detour to my favourite road in the world though.

  11. It's none of my business, but that's insane. Wife and I got married in 2011, had 80 people for a sit down meal and LOADS of booze and it came in just under £8k. I still get told by people it was one of the best weddings they have been to. But it was 75% Irish, that helps a party, sorry, wedding

  12. You will now be able to invite friends round for Hanami, which is just an excuse to drink alcohol. Off to my second one this week tomorrow.

  13. Thanks for that! That must be the thing that i am going to learn today. I was neither aware of the word nor the custom (thanks Google) although I was aware of the Japanese obsession with cherry blossom.

As soon as I have something to share with everyone, I'll post a pic for a virtual hanami.

  14. Sitting in the last of my intensive sessions in the hyperbaric as I type - it's been an incredible revelation

May well need to continue with regular top up sessions but still cheaper than visits to the osteopath (and I would say that at this point in time it has cured my various issues with a 95% success rate)

    :).

  19. Reinforced my "fuck it" attitude to life last night..... about 7 years ago - almost died in a random accident at home with a flue liner....it unravelled and cut through my wrist, straight through, surgeons call it a "full house" when you cut through everything...and yes It sprays out like in the films... at that point we had 2 children and always thought about a third - and now we do....

A few years back a friend called me the day after boxing day (we were on the way home from visitng) "Hi Ju - long time no speak?"
"I'm at the hospital - Clive's just died...."
My mate got a headache on a Monday - bedridden by Wednesday and died Friday - Meningitis and he was a few years younger than me....

My father passed away a couple of years ago from leukemia....others along the way too...

More recently a friend of mine who lived in our road (moved away but close by) was diagnosed with intestinal cancer (thought he had a particularly vicious curry but no) - had that removed and was in the clear. I texted him last night "another Hypermotard incoming...." he always loved my last one and was a bit gutted I sold it....reply came back..."get it! get it now!" to which I replied " I am! collecting it Tuesday!" - "my cancer is back in my liver, small and can be removed but you never know..."

So, while I cant really afford my hyper, fuck it, you've only got the one life (well, that I know of anyway...)

Wave if you see me heading back along the M4 on Tuesday afternoon (SC project evo system making lots of noise...!)
