Hi all my first message I bought Wolverhampton Ducati's demo DVT with only 800miles - traded in my Multi 1200s happy with deal. Bike was delivered on Tuesday 8th Sept all good - went a 30/40 mile ride on Thursday- all good. Then Saturday went over to Aylesbury Ducati for a cuppa etc 30 mile ride. Jumped on bike as I left the engine management light came on, turn around straight into service dept, brilliant people very helpful. The service manager and spoke to Wolverhampton Ducati and AD diagnosed a fault with the Back engine DVT sensor - first bike to have this issue according Ducati database? Wolverhampton Ducati attitude......very rude to AD service manager and me. And regards me having to leave my new toy and covering less than a 100 miles - THEY did not give a dam! Had their money....no compassion or care how I was to get home!! Anyone else suffered with this engines failure. As AD were very unsure if you could ride the bike until resolved....
Sounds a shitter But let's get some perspective. It's a sensor failure not engine failure you are describing
The fact was Aylesbury Ducati were unsure of engine issue and would be speaking to Ducati Italy direct to get as you say perspective on what failed!
Sounds about par: Ducati Wolves Horrible Bunch | Ducati Forum Someone at Ducati UK must glance at this forum occasionally, surely. But nothing seems to change there.
when my engine management light came on spoke to Italia Moto who advised to get the bike towed in as they didn't know what the problem was. Bike in Friday afternoon and I picked it up Saturday afternoon great service in my mind. On the invoice sheet it says code P0024 present followed tips and tricks cleared code and ran bike as require. Told something to do with DVT but can't remember exactly what they said. Did say it's the second bike they had with this fault
The weld on my multi DVT has cracked after only 2000 miles... It's under warranty but Ducati won't sort until I have the 3 recalls sorted, was aware? Seat issue Side stand issue Fuel sensor issue Today bike was collected by AA from my house as I dare not ride bike as the exhaust is about to fall off from the collection box!! Ducati Aylesbury sorting bike, great dealership very helpful It was only last September that I got the bike when engine light came on, only took one month to sort and I could not ride the bike at the time as Ducati uk suggested not to....ECU issue Ducati swapped it under warranty....light still comes occasionally but runs fine, unlike before bike ran rough as hell.....
I'm sorry for your issues, but some of these DVT multistradas sound like sacks of shit. I appreciate many of the issues raised are sometimes small but extremely frequent, others are fairly big and down right dangerous.
I had my 899 from Wolves, delivered and advised there wasn't much fuel in the tank due to insurance when transporting, I wasn't, however expecting to ride 1.3 miles towards my nearest fuel station befor it ran out! Suffice to say I was not best pleased as I had to abandon my new pride and joy and walk the unpaved route home!!
