  1. Im sure this has been posted before, but is there a specific stand for the PS as i see our bikes have a very scratchable rear swingarm.

Thanks in advance all advice greatly appreciated.

  2. Hi matt

Thanks for yr message. Like the look of the chain adjusters with bobbins.
Is the ABBA stand not up to the job?

    Regards

  3. I've the Ducati stand with the rubber covered cups and find it a good bit of kit. I will post pics when the rain stops (possibly September)

  4. Lol. Look forward to seeing the pics.
Just out of curiousity. The PS has been on its side stand fur about 2 years. Any possible downsides to this?

  5. Yes it will be really angry.

  6. I don't think so, change the belts service it , new tyres and enjoy a beautiful bike .

  7. Reason I ask is once I left my 851 like that. I'm sure the bars/angle ever so slightly off centre.

  9. I'm happy with my bike image.jpg

  10. Is that a Ducati item? The rear u bend curvy bit on floor looks quite long, is it adjustable?

  11. It's the Ducati stand and it's the perfect length when lifting the bike.

  12. Thanks. Will try and locate one.

  13. I see what you mean about the length of the stand in the photo. It's normal length , the camera is making it look long.

  14. I think finding an original stand difficult now, will give it a go

  15. Abba stand also works really well, I use the one that locates in the swingarm pivots. On the standard item the rubber pads sit under the swing arm, on the PS the right side is curved which means very little flat area for it to rest on, hence the sliping problems. I think the GT/mono would probably be fine as both sides are straight iirc.

  16. Thanks Matt.
Will look into the ABBA stand. Any recommendations for buying?

  17. Always used an abba stand on my mono and would highly recommend it. Also Works well with axle stands under the front forks to remove both wheels when you need to get the tyres done.

  18. Can't reccomend anywhere, I picked mine up at Ally Pally show about 5 years ago. Get the right fitting kit and the thing is bullet proof !
