evening all, today i bought a agv veloce helmet from motocard.com for £210.00 delivered. have been looking for a while and they are usually between £280.00 -£380.00 depending on color scheme and size availability as in you do see the odd one a lil cheaper but its a one off one size only thing.. on ya bike have a mat black ms one for £280.00 which is the cheapest ive seen in the half a dozen or so stores ive visited lately so the black and white txt one for £210.00 really seems a bargain. anyone had dealings with motocard.com?
From experience, some track day providers still require an ACU sticker and do check your helmet so it's a good idea when booking to read the small print. My helmet has always been checked at a Brands track day by one of the MSV marshals but that could just be my bad luck. Andy
Andy I've been doing trackdays for about 15 years in the UK and europe and not once in all that time have I had anyone check any piece of my kit let alone checking if my helmet has an ACU sticker. On the odd occasion someone may have checked that my zip was done up on my jacket but thats it. Have done trackdays run by foreign organisers as well and other than them giving you a sticker to put on the chin bar of your helmet instead of a wrist band/zip tag to prove you've been briefed thats it. Now racing is a different matter all together, not only do they check the ACU sticker they check they helmet fits correctly and the helmet itself and all the straps are undamaged. And god forbid if you fall off whilst racing, thats almost a full strip search for re-scrutineering.
