I've a one price alpine star set and I have cut a hole in the ass and one in the front for ease of pissing and crapping, this also allows great air movement esp as I don't wear underpants while on the bike. You do however have to grab your tackle and cover your ass with other hand if crashing.
Iv got the atem one piece and got to say it's my go to leathers over my a* jaws leather jacket and a* track pants. It's not that the jaws and track pants are uncomfortable I just find the atem fits me like a glove and unlike you I find the atem fine wearing all day riding, in fact when riding it feels like I'm not wearing leathers as there is no restrictions and it just fits me perfectly. I would personally recommend it but it's all down to sizing and opinions and there is no right or wrong, just don't rule them out. D
Iv never got troubled buy the neck after a full day. But thinking about it, my one small complaint is the Velcro ankle and wrist straps on the liner, found when I first got it I done them up to tight and the pressure of the boot or cuffs on my gloves would make it really hurt after an hour but found that if you do them up looser this never becomes a problem.
one piece suits have always worked well for me, but i have found that a perforated suit can get chilly much below about 12°c. I solved this by buying a second 'spring and autumn' suit, which was specially ordered without any cordura panels or perforations. I also find what you wear under the suit to be extremely important - i use either a one piece RST base layer or a generic compression top and bottoms (both long) as they really help get the suit on and off, especially in warm weather. I did buy an RST one piece undersuit but i must say i find the slightly shiny fabric of my generic compression kit a little better for getting the suit on and off.
Keep looking at 2 piece but something in back of my mind just says No,have always had 1 piece to me it's all I feel safe in. Do not trust the Zips
One piece for me, it's so much more comfy, you just need to get used to dislocating your shoulder getting in and out of it
These... Innershell – EDZ Layering underneath perforated leathers for those chilly(er) days. Super thin and block the wind Also makes loading and unloading a PoP. Oh and one piece for me too. I don't like multiple waist bands. Got too many of them when I'm naked without adding to them
I've got an Arlen Ness Kangaroo 1 piece. Only really used in summer but got it out the other night for a blast and I think it's almost easier jumping into that than the two piece or textile options
Body warmer over a one piece will help when its a tad chilly and you still get the full function of your arms with out feeling like the pilsbury dough boy
I use a clear rain coat over my one piece for colder track days and it just keeps the wind out, but still gives you a bit of movement It's not perhaps the most stylish thing in the world, but it works and you barely know it's there Fox Fluid Rain Jacket CLEAR
i have a Alpinestars one thats also very good for keeping the wind out, just wish the childish work colleagues would stop calling it a condom
I had an accident in a two piece and got road rash from the road pulling jacket up on the hip. Before you ask they were zipped together. I've never had a one piece but I think I'll get some.
Just received my order of AS goodies. They couldn't supply an Atem 1 piece in 54 until September. So I picked Airflow track pants and Atem jacket. And a pair of super tech R boots. (We have a deal through work so order direct from the warehouse) so I'm a happy chap now.
