I'm considering a full termi system for my 2015 DVT, but at £1700 for it from Ducati it is very expensive. Just wondering if anyone knows of any alternative full systems at a better price, and differences to the Termi? I know the Termi end can is titanium, what is the rest of the system made of?
The enduro one is different and more expensive at just under two-thousand. However bizarrely it states it cannot fit on the 2015DVT. Which i find suspious as its the same engine bar gearing of 1st & 6th & same frame. So it..should fit the older version'
At the moment I would still prefer the full termi as its the only solution that addresses fuelling issues as well. Just my two bits......
Seems like the full termi is the way to go. Makes a great bike an even better bike and gets rid if that pesky valve. Chuffing expensive though, probably have to wait until autumn to get one.
Looked at the Enduro and DVT 1200S side by side today in the dealers and you can see why the DVT exhausts wont fit the Enduro. There just isn't enough clearance on the swingarm. I do like the Enduro but its a massive beast of a bike and with a full tank takes some effort to lift it off the side stand.
Had one fitted last week The fuel map isn't all that , in fact it's shite , will take to hilltop when I get back from mugello , which I am certain will make a huge difference. System sounds great and I can feel the weight difference
The mid range issue is much better , however the feeling is a bit snatchy now compared to standard much smoother fueling. It literally goes from vroom to boom which is great in a straight line. The problem for me is powering through corners when you don't want any surprises on fuel delivery. I know it will be fixed with a bespoke fuel map. It's identical to what happened on my old mts when I fitted a full system to that. Please don't think it's a negative as the system is something I consider to be a good purchase despite the obscene price tag for a twin exhaust system !!! The response is superb and the sound is addictive . I will update the post with some feedback when Geoff from hilltop as weaved his magic. On the last bike if I remember rightly he ran the back cylinder richer than the Ducati map with some subtle changes to the delivery and the bike gained 8bhp and 12 torqueys from the standard map , however it was the smooth delivery that made the biggest difference for me
you cant have both: soft smooth delivery and instant oomph. Isnt that what the modes are for? Sport being oomph and touring being soft?
No I don't think so It does it in touring as well , it's definitely feeling not throttle response imho
Can anyone with a full terms fitted , take a look at their front down pipe please I automatically assumed the front cylinder pipe was changed because of the price mine still looks like the standard one so I wasn't sure if the front pipe wasn't part of the kit ?
Looks like the full Termi for the '15 onwards is a 3/4 system. Uses original headers. https://amsducati.com/media/downloads/instructions/96480701A-instructions.pdf
