More Love, Less Hate, [the Peaky Blinder, Part Due]

  1. wotcha, after nuking the 'peaky blinder' build thread, selling the 900ss and the 750ss supersports, buying a 796 hypermotard and a ktm 690 supermoto it was time to get back to work. here's a sneak preview of the bike in it's latest [unfinished] guise, a sort of cheeky, tt f2 replica thing, but not a replica, if you know what i mean. if you don't it doesn't matter anyway because i really don't give a fuck. IMG_1097.JPG IMG_1100.JPG need to sort out the plumbing to the external fuel pump, get some exhausts sorted and hopefully be ready for the morini owners trackday, the super-sausage-supersport-day out [if i can get a dodgy mot on it] and i'm taking it over to the island for the classic tt / manx gp in august. booked in for the jurby festival and still trying to get a ride in the closed roads parade run by the vmcc if i can con the washer counting old duffer's into believing it really is a pantah ttf2. let's face it though, my bike is directly descended from the desmodue bikes, it's nearer than the so-called 'manx' nortons, [built in two old shipping containers ten miles away from where i live, cnc machined and using frames from nz] xr69's? really, originally based on the gs1000 two-valvers, not the oil-cooled bandit, 4-valver's that are running in harris frames with a heron paintjob..... just saying......

  3. IMG_0439.JPG IMG_0459.JPG IMG_0889.JPG IMG_0891.JPG IMG_0703.JPG so, after building the 'peaky blinder' into a budget 'radical' ducati thing, hooning about on a daytime mot, chasing back from the local bike-nights with no lights as it's getting dark, a dodgy mot and embarrasing sportsbikes on trackdays, twatting about on the island at the manx gp, conning a ride at the classic festival at jurby i decided to move the bike on. except i couldn't. i really, really liked the bike, it's not the fastest thing in the world, 60bee-haitch-pee but very light and sorted, tick's over like a fucking honda, goes. stops. just really good fun. i checked out the frame kit's for the ducati tt f2 replica's on the 'tinterweb, very expensive and you can only use a 'carby' for the doner bike. my 750ssie is a 'fueli', i talk to the bloke who is selling the frame kit's at the stafford classic bike show. he confirms you can't build a ducati ttf2 replica using a 'fueli' as a doner. game on, watch this space.....
