1200 DVT Passenger Footpegs Dvt

  1. Picked up my 2016 Dvt on Friday all great. Took my Wife out for a run on Sunday and she reckons the foot pegs are higher, further back and really uncomfortable compared to the old model. Has anyone fitted adjustable passenger pegs to their Dvt and if so which ones.

  2. Hi Martin when I have panniers on my wife cannot reach pegs. I've had to bolt after market pegs to the bracket

  3. Hi Melvin
    Which pegs did you buy.

  4. Off eBay not a good look but works

  5. Thanks for that Melvin

  6. Post #1 seems to find the pillion pegs too high; post # 4 seems to find them too low. Perhaps most people find them about right ... ?

  7. Or you could always purchase a taller/shorter wife?

  8. I am trying to get mine to get her own bike, nough with the driving her around, besides it would be more fun to have a racing buddie.

  9. I did that. Got my wish. Now spend every bloody corner looking in my mirrors for headlights! At least when she is on the back I know exactly where she is. Her on her own bike double the worry.
Re the pillion no worries there. She says it's comfy

  10. The answer to that problem I think LBY, is to follow her instead :upyeah:

  11. My wife is happy with the position, but she complains about vibrations in the left footrest at motorway speeds. Not sure what to do about that. I might try it with the panniers on and see if that reduces the vibe, since the panniers attach to mounting points behind the footrests which might damp it out.
