Reason For Failing Mot

  1. If the 848 is the same one on your profile pic, why don't you just take the pillion seat pad off and put the hard cover on ? I've got a 1098s and took the passenger pegs off as soon as i bought it. I've always had the hard cover on and never had an issue with MOT's.

  2. Bike retested this weekend, with seat cowl fitted.
Thank you Chris for the loan of your seat cowl, text me when you able receive it back, and I will post straight back.
When I was filing the new MOT with the previous ones, I noticed they were all done by the same tester with the same signature.
That's the last time I will use that particular garage for anything..

  3. Ive got no pillion pegs on 848 either (525 mile bike whenh I bought it, wasnt supplied with any). Nor do I have a seat cowel. Nor am I insured to carry a pillion.

Good excuse to buy a rear cowel though! Couldnt justify the unnecessary expense before. I carry a tailpack occasioanlly and would only want to strap that to the pillion pad so left it as is.

  4. pity. you don't know the circumstances between now and then. maybe he has already been caught bending the rules slightly to get his customers through the test. maybe he has had some administration issues between now and then.
vosa work a traffic light system red.amber green. if you find your self in the red through some paper work issue you could be on the watch list if your in the green chances are you will never see them.
