Hello All, registered here last September when I bought my monster 796 and this is my 1st post. I have now done 2500 miles over the winter. The original tyres are approaching the end of their useful lives and wonder what others have used as an option to the original fitment (Diablo Rosso 11) I keep this bike mainly for fun but do the occasional weekend away so wondered if anyone has tried more of a sports touring tyre with any success?
Hi and welcome to the forum. I have Bridgestone T30s on my 796 HM, and I think they're great, overall grip wet and dry is great,and give me lots of confidence.Always had Bridgestones as I found the Rosso IIs were a bit sketchy in the wet.So far 4k and still loads left in them
Hi Jen, thanks for that. I was thinking of trying the T30's on my tourer next time I change but never thought of them for the fun bike, I'll look into them a bit more.
No probs! The sport/touring tyres that are out now,are all you need.Unless you're thinking of doing serious track days,I can't see the point of sports tyres.
