1200 DVT Termi Id Plate ?

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by GaryO, May 18, 2016.

  1. I vaguely remember a thread where someone had plates made up for attaching to a full Termi system to say it was 'compliant'. Where can I get one of these plates ? Or which thread was it again ??

  2. I was wondering the same thing. From what I remember the replacement plate just had the "official" SAE(?) number on it, and it looked obviously fake.

What would be good would be a plate with lots of words and symbols on it, including the UK/CE one, that looked much more genuine.

If anyone knows a good laser etcher.....

  3. If it just says not for road use on it, I would dremmel it off. Putting a plate on to say it's compliant doesn't make it legal.

  4. It was Neil, user - NJW1967 he made a few up as spares.

You will still have to remove the not for rd use off the end band .

  5. I asked him for a spare plate,..never got sent it :(

  6. Mine has genuinely fell off!
The head of the rivets failed, so lying at the side of the road somewhere I guess.

  7. Guys,
It's on the inside of the end can and unless you've got a rubber neck / flexi-camera it's really hard to see and in any event why can't you have the the bike road tested at MOT time by a reliable garage, then why worry.
My Termi system was fitted by Riders in Bristol and that's exactly where the bike will go for MOT and they know it, so any failure will be incredibly unlikely...

  8. I don't think the mot issue is the problem for such a new bike as most won't own the bike in 3 years. when were stopped by the swizzle police at the border they not only checked our passports but looked for Not for rd use on the cans, my buddy got a 750£ fine .
