  1. Owned dukes in the past,900ss,851,but have been involved with Laverdas for many years, having just finished a major house refurbishment bikes need full going over and with summer (yes its now our summer) passing I wanted a touring bike press the button and just go sort of thing, one thinks at times like these Japanese tried most of them even the Blackbird but they have no soul. have and always will be an Italian bike man so bought a 2002 st4s 20000 miles on clock with full service history from woods, now I intend to do some serious miles on this two up, any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated I believe in preventive maintenance not just fix it when it goes wrong any tips what so ever, cheers Ray

  2. Welcome, I'd recommend GT85 or bettter still ACF50 for after your bike has been washed & is nearly dry. Spray either of that stuff on the metal components barr brake disc & pads & you are doing a good thing in preserving its lifespan.

If you only ride 6-months a year there are bubble bag (huge bike storing bags) systems in which you can place the bike into & seal up so no dirt or moisture gets too attack it whilst winter comes around.
