Have only been using the site for a few weeks, which is strange considering I have had a succession of Ducati's over the years. Started with a 750SS in the mid nineties, then a ST2 before going to a Moto Guzzi. Some BMW's followed (I know, I know) and KTMs always came and went, then a 748 some years later followed by a 998S which I shouldn't have sold, but needs must. The Ducati factory and museum tour in 2014 on our way to the Moto GP at Mugello rekindled the interest, not that it was ever really lost. I had a Panigale S on order and then I saw the XDiavel and that got me thinking that I would use it more. Soooooooo unfortunately the Panigale was cancelled, however I am the proud owner of an XDiavel S. I picked the bike up last Friday and have already put over a 1000 miles on it. One word..................incredible. To quote a friend of mine; "it's like Ducati have welded two Moto Guzzi Grisos's together"!! It's so mad I did the Ducati track Day on it at Donnington on Tuesday - what a blast. With zero expectations from me or anyone else it was great to ride, a real pleasure. I look forward to continuing to read the various threads and getting some summer riding in, I really have had enough of the rain. DD
I wondered what a Diavel was doing there but that explains it. Showroom to the track in days, good for you. I wimped out and hired specifically because I couldn't bear the thought of bending my Panigale. I'd never done a track day before but now I'm considering Silverstone.
We don't normally get David's here on the forum. Welcome. Hell Tee, David isn't a wimmins, you can close the thread now.
