  1. Hi guys and gals,
    I'm currently looking into buying a 2013/2014 1200 GT

I'm just wanting opinions on mileage and if to stay away from the higher end ones

    my options are
    2013 20k with full history £8500 1 month warranty
    2013 8k with full history £11000 3 month warranty
    2014 3,5k with full history £13000 3 month warranty

thanks in advance for any replies

    Paul

  2. Hmm hard choice, depends on other options or are they all standard.

  3. Push your finances & get some new 2016 metal.

  4. the 2013 with 8k on it has a Termignoni end can, other than that all standard gt models

  5. was thinking that myself but newer would mean getting finance or a loan and would rather not

  6. £4,000 on the price of the one with 8k on it and you have a new one ?
But if you ain't got it then that's the one I'd go for.
Mind you £2.5k is a lot for an extra 2mths warranty but that's offset by the lower mileage.

  7. Warranties suggest buying from a dealer, what does consumer law say about minimum warranties from a dealer, 1 month doesn't sound like very much.

  8. Another thing to keep in mind is that if you pay the deposit or a portion of the purchase price using a credit card, then the credit card company can be held responsible should something go awry.
    I've done this myself.
I'm sure others with more financial acumen and knowledge will chip in with more information.

  10. I got a 2013 GT with 5K on the clock in August last year with a years warranty (still valid) for 12.5K which included the warranty.

I did look around after I bought it and if you are prepared to travel the money and mileage can be good but I am lucky with the warranty I got from a top line Ducati dealership ........ so far I have had a grands worth of work done FOC on the warranty (headlight unit for failed LED's, heated grips and rear wheel speed sensor affecting DSS )

I did look and they only have S or touring but no GT's at the moment

This any good for you ?

  11. If your looking for a Multi ride along the A272 on a weekend, you'll see loads of them parked up whilst 'awaiting assistance' for various reasons (usually covered on the extended warranty or by the dealer as 'its a known fault').

  12. Cant say I have ever seen one, and I ride along there most weekends.

  13. I went for a dealer offering 12 month warranty on my multi. Would have been a few grand out of pocket had I not. Now just waiting to out it and get something I can trust
