1200 DVT Couple Of Questions

  1. Got a couple of questions.

Firstly, the crud catcher. Keep or lose? I've taken it off tonight but I'm not sure what looks best. What's the consensus?

Secondly, I'm thinking of hose clipping a rear wheel socket to the manifold down pipe, so I've always got one in case of emergency. Not all tyre dealers have them. Any problems doing it?

  2. From the looks point of view, off, from the stop crap being thrown onto you point of view, on.

  3. a) lose it
    b) put it under the seat

  4. I agree with broke, the crud catcher definitely does what it says, the bike looks better with it off, but after a very wet ride with it off both me (mainly down my back?), and the bike were covered in crap.

  5. Agreed, that's the bottom line. Took mine off, then after a couple of days riding in the rain/crap, it got put back on! It does look ugly, but then you are not usually the one looking at it.

  6. Can't see any problems with that. I just keep mine under the seat with the puncture repair kit.
