Hi, Looked through numerous treads but cant really find what im after.... I have a 2012 Multistrada and want to get rid of the un slightly cat/mid section of the exhaust. I have a termi stubby end can and am wanting a link pipe that can fit straight on does anyone have any suggestions or contacts? I know this will need mapping and thats my next question, who do we recommend to do this and where are they located. Im n Sheffield and would be willing to travel for the job to be done properly Thanks in advance Nick
I have a feeling that those who know will suggest CJS in Bristol, but I do not speak from experience.
I would recommend a Leo Vince decat pipe. Good quality and I'm told the best shape for the single spark engine. Also, it has a small in line silencer which will help reduce the noise a little if you intend to use the Termi stubby. As the stubby has very little silencing you may find it too loud with a straight through pipe. Don't know if the Termi will fit straight onto the LV pipe though. Probably not without an adapt or. I'm pretty sure someone will have done it though. I also recommend CJS at Bristol. I have LV decat and silencer and that on its own increased midrange but once CJS had worked his magic it was that much better again. Up from 143 to 151 BHP at back wheel but with so much cleaner low down running and a monster midrange..
Just a note, the Leo Vince (cough) in line baffle, only fits the stock end can as it does not sit in the decat pipework. Andy
Hi, Sorry if this seems a stupid question....but Do you mean the extra baffle you can buy or do you mean the Leo Vince wont fit the termi?
The extra baffle only fits the stock base can. The decat pipe fits the stock can and the stubby Termignoni. Not sure about the full sized Termignoni race end can though. There is at least one forum member who reduced the length of the LV decat pipe by about 5 or 10mm but I think that was because he was fitting an Akrapovic end can. Andy
