Approved Ducati Dealer Repairs Following Claim

Discussion in 'Insurance - Sponsored by Ducati Insurance' started by Ian149, Jun 9, 2016.

  1. Hi all, does anyone specify repairs to be done by an approved ducati dealer following an accident on their policy?
    Cheers,

  2. From my experience, an Insurer will usually suggest whoever they have an agreement with although you can ask for repairs to be carried out by whomever you want. If the bike is still under guarantee/warranty, repairs might have to be carried out by an authorised repair centre to maintain the guarantee. Hope this helps. Andy

  3. Cheers Andy, that's what Bikesure told me today, and also that if the ducati dealer on their approved list is further than a non-ducati approved dealer, it would go to the closest.
I don't like the idea of a non ducati dealer working on it but maybe no option. Best not fall off in the first place.....

  4. Hi,

We do ... all insurers and brokers have an agreement with their preferred "approved repairer" and that's where they try to send your bike (some more "forcefully" than others).

However, we have aim to get your bike to a Ducati approved dealer.
