Hi guys, I have an 848 with just shy of 15000 miles on I bought the bike from a rather large second hand bike shop, i'm not convinced they did the oil and belts as promised but in the service file the belts are in date which was carried out by a ducati dealer by the previous owner, I'm happy to change the oil as it isn't worth the risk for the cost of some oil and a filter, but does the bike need to go to ducati to have the service light reset? Thanks in advance Greg
Hard to know for a Corse Se. My normal 848 is re-settable with an Android app from my tablet and a little adaptor thing that plugs in under the battery, not sure if yours is the same though.
Where did you get the adapter is it an eBay job? The bike is pretty much the same as an 848 although it has a full termi system with a different Ecu not sure if this helps or complicates things?
The Android app is called Tune ECU and you need the leads to connect from the tablet/phone to the ecu - GuzziDiag Cable Interface Lead
I had the leads laying around from using them on various cars. They probably came from ebay originally.
For my 999 i used: Vgate ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII CAN-BUS Auto Scanner for Android Torque | eBay UK 3 Pin to 16 Pin OBD2 Diagnostic Adapter Connector Cable for Fiat Alfa Lancia | eBay I don't know if you need the adapter or not. @chrisw is the expert on this.
Don't see why not, but you don't need to pay for software if all that you want to do is a service reset, ScanM5X does it on Android for free.
I just did the belts on mine and used the app "Scan5MX" and the fiat adapter cable to plug into the jack under the battery as others have mentioned. That app is free and does everything you need (reset service light/code, reset TPS, etc). ScanM5X Data Logger – Android Apps on Google Play Free in Google play store in any android device. Pretty sure I saw fuel trim optins in there but a good app to have regardless.
