Is a bike thats set up for the track supposed to have that much "bounce" in it?? My bike hardly moves when I put some weight on it! Still box standard out of the crate, but will get set up for road use soon...
Did you pay and watch the full version Bradders? I like this guys stuff; I did subscribe last year for a bit but then got distracted and didn't look again until it ran out!
No I didnt, I use his older stuff as a guide. Ther are loads, but not sure how different the pani is compared to others (cant imagine much unless eletronics affect it)
Ar ok I didn't watch it just noticed it was a new one and lot longer. Still it's only the price of telegraph
He basically sets up a base 1199 and an S. The main thing you'll learn from it is what most suspension folks say. The rebound damping isn't enough as stock. Here's the settings he dials in. Hope it makes sense.
Just to add on my 1299 I have my rebound set at about 5 or 6 each end to eliminate the bounce and have each end return at same rate. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
He's running a couple clicks stiffer than me on all settings on the 1199S although my R is quite a lot stiffer and that does feel good. I had the oil level in my forks topped up on the S to reduce the air gap which has changed them considerably and I've softened off the front compression a couple more clicks because I was getting front chatter.
I added rebound to front and rear and took compression off to cope with roads. Bike feels really balanced. Stock settings on 1299 are 10 clicks out on everything. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
