1200 DVT Multimedia Bluetooth To Bluetooth Intercom

  1. Has anyone tried connecting dissimilar Bluetooth headset (two bikes) to the DVT Multistrada media hub?

I managed to get me and a mate hooked to the multi media hub as rider (driver?) and passenger but we couldn't talk to each other at the side of the road via Bluetooth? We could however listen to the same music and radio station!

Anyone any experience of how it works, if possible?

    Ta.

  2. The Ducati Multimedia Hub is just that, a multimedia hub. It will allow you and a passenger to listen to music from a phone and get directions from a bluetooth enabled GPS. There is no capability for rider to passenger comms via the bike. You would still get comms from helmet to helmet as usual.

  3. Mine works with intercom using a pair of Scala Q3s.

I have a Garmin 590lm and Galaxy S6 and they all communicate.

However, I did discover a problem with the Bluetooth when I tried to unpair one of the headsets and pair with another. All the Bluetooth went crazy and I had to ask the dealer to reset the system before I could add again.

Strangely they said that you have to switch the bike off and on again in between adding or removing paired devices. And that adding any device that is not Bluetooth v4 may upset the system.

So yours may be able to work as long as you switch the bike off between pairing.

The only issue I. Now have is that the navigation instructions are too loud and there is no way to reduce the volume. The music from my phone comes on whenever it feels like and is too quiet.

  4. No, the bike does not have anything to do with the bluetooth intercom. The intercom is a direct connection between two or more headsets and has nothing to do with the bluetooth hub on the bike.

  5. Sorry but you are wrong.

You can use the headsets in direct comms but the mm system is designed to route everything in one place. This allows it to prioritise calls, navigation and comms. Why do you think it allows you to specify rider and passenger when you do the Bluetooth setup?

I have tried both and it does sound different as it isn't quite full duplex when using the bike's system, but it does all work together better when you use multiple devices.

  6. Bluetooth 4.0 is supposed to be able to accept 3.1 as well.
